The towers of Bicentennial Man
When we all got home from our weekend away (more about that in a future post), the girls and I watched Bicentennial Man, with Robin Williams. The movie was from 1999, looking into the future. At one point towards the end they say that the robot, Andrew, was created in 2005 and then the movie continues for 200 years.It was interesting to note first of all what things were thought to look like in the future of 2005, now that it is in the past.
In one scene, I literally gasped! There in the skyline of New York stood the twin towers. It really hit me that no one could ever imagine that they would not be a part of that skyline. But, only two years after that movie, and a good three years plus before the time portrayed in the movie, they were gone.
