Last week was an eventful week in the school life arena. 

On Wednesday, Maggie officially passed the Probezeit!  This was the three month probationary period in Langzeitgymnasium during which many of the kids are expected to fail out.  Maggie's class lost only two children - the one boy who left at midterm break and one girl.  The boy who was thinking about dropping out at midterm, whom Maggie and her friends talked out of leaving, ended up passing!!  Her class was told again that they were at the top of the first grade classes! 

On Thursday, Bella's school presented their Advent Concert.  Yes -you read that correctly - Advent concert.  There is no such thing as politically correct terms of Holiday this or that over here.  It was held in one of the old churches which was very very dark. Hence, really bad pictures.

 But, here she is doing the freewill offering after the concert.  They were raising money to support a school in India.


On Friday, Maggie's school held an apero for the kids and parents to celebrate the end of Probezeit.  They sang We Wish You a Merry Christmas - in English - which at the end proclaimed NO MORE EXAMS!
 Once they sang, the kids were let loose on the food!
That night they held a Jungle themed disco for all the first class - including those who did not pass the probation time.  Maggie had a lot of fun!
