New Life Eases Loss
After a long drive from Chicago to St. Louis, we checked into the wonderful house we had rented and then quickly made our way to Jenni's house for the first main event.
We were all very excited to be coming to the wedding and seeing family, but we would be less than honest if we said that meeting Peyton wasn't on the top of our looking-forward-to list. Of course, because her daddy and aunts share pictures and video on Facebook, we've been able to keep up with her progress through the 10 months since she was born, but nothing takes the place of a real live snuzzle and deep intake of baby smells.
I'm sure as of this posting, Peyton's love of the moo'íng toy has worn thin with those who also have to listen to it. But, I'm glad she liked it.
She had fun exploring Uncle David's face. I think we have pictures of David with most family kids doing this exact same thing!
Our first task for the evening was to help Jenni make some goodies for the Saturday night Marshmellow Roast.
Everyone was helping with something, although I'm not sure what my sister-in-law and neice are doing here...probably something with flowers as Terry did all the flowers for the wedding and they were stunning!
Guess how David helped out!

Thanks for your help with the goodies! It was fun!
